During a diving expedition, Brown received a proposal from the son of the renowned rock musician Bon Jovi “many meters down” in the ocean.
In an interview with “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” Millie Bobby Brown described how her fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, proposed to her “many meters down” in the ocean. Brown told Fallon that diving is a shared hobby between her and her fiancé. “Diving is something we adore. Brown said to Fallon, “We got our diving licenses together.”
“He (Bongiovi) told me one day that when we were on vacation, Mill had to get up at eight in the morning. We’re about to take a plunge,” Brown said. The 20-year-old actress claimed that after the two swam “many meters down,” Bongiovi gave her a shell containing a ring. With their gas masks on, Bongiovi was unable to talk, so he placed the ring on Brown’s finger.
She proceeded to flaunt the ring, which made it slip off and “plummet” toward the sea below. It resembled a motion picture. Brown added, “Jake threw himself into the water.” “The diving teacher was like, ‘You can’t do that, your ears, literally your brain would explode,’ so deep. He leaps to his feet, makes a dramatic grab, opens, and saves the ring.”
“I truly feel it is a reflection of who he is and I feel like we’re always going to have each other’s back and if anyone drops the ball we got it,” Brown said. However, the tale does not finish there. Following Bongiovi’s valiant actions, the two swam back to the ocean’s surface. There, Bongiovi revealed that Brown’s mother had forbidden him from taking her ring into the water, so he had to purchase the ring he brought to the deep sea proposal.
‘Absolutely not Jake, you’re not taking my ring down there,’ my mother said. You’ll forget it,” Brown remarked. “She was right.” When they were back on the boat, Bongiovi gave Brown her mother’s ring, which she currently wears. “I got this from your parents, and this is your mom’s ring,” he said. It was quite wonderful, according to Brown.
Bongiovi wished Brown a happy birthday on Instagram earlier this year, stating that the two had a “big year ahead.” The two are thought to have started dating back in 2021. The son of renowned rock star Bon Jovi and Brown announced their engagement in April 2023. The film “Damsel,” which is scheduled for premiere on the streaming service on March 8, will include Brown as the lead actor.
