As snow continues to pour across the Chicago area on Friday morning, many ComEd customers remain without power. Up to 12 inches of snow are predicted. The business reports that as of 9 a.m., 2,510 reported outages had impacted 97,062 subscribers. ComEd serves 4,090,207 clients.
Using the ComEd app or the company’s website, you can keep tabs on local outages by navigating the outage map. The majority of the CBS 2 viewing area is under a winter storm warning, which is in effect from roughly 4:30 a.m. on Friday until noon on Saturday.
The only exceptions are LaPorte County, Indiana, where the warning is in effect from 10 a.m. on Friday until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Kankakee County, Illinois, and Jasper and Newton counties, Indiana, which are under a winter weather advisory.
